The “heart” of man is the spirit of man. Therefore we trust God with the heart (Proverbs 3:5-7). Peter calls it the hidden man of the heart (1 Peter 3:4). The Word of God is still true today just as it was when Jesus walked the earth. The Word was made flesh. When you agree with the Word of God you can be healed by the Word, you can be saved by the Word, you can have peace by the Word, and you can have joy by the Word. Don’t believe according to your head or the five senses. Believe with the spirit man of your heart. Amos 3:3 asked the question, can two walk together except they be agreed? Often time when we hear or read this scripture the first thought that come to mind is that we think about people who are married. That is true in itself, but it’s not talking about married couples alone. The scripture also applies to other things such as family members, friends, business partners, and etc. Have you ever thought about that scripture as it relates to your relationship with the Lord? I hear people say all the time I believe God! I believe God! In order to truly believe God in your heart (the spirit man) we must agree with what He says. We have to agree with His Word. God and His Word are true! It can be very difficult to be in agreement with someone if you’re not sure what each other are thinking. We have to read God’s Word daily in order to know how God is thinking in order to agree with Him. Once you start reading and studying God’s Word on a daily basis you’ll begin to align your thoughts with God’s thoughts. This put you in a position to believe Him. And when you believe what God says, it is so! Your prayers will be answered because you believe! We make contact with God with our spirit not the human mind or our five senses. God is a spirit; therefore those who worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth (John 4:24). We must trust the Lord with our spirit not the understanding of our natural minds (Proverbs 3:5-7). We have peace within when we believe (agree with God), trust in, and rely solely on God (Hebrews 4:3; Philippians 4:7). The physical body is designed to believe the senses. However, the spirit is designed to believe the Word of God. God and His Word are one. When we believe His Word we agree and believe Him. Therefore, believing with our spirit is believing beyond what the senses detect. We must decide to believe God (with our spirit) every day regardless of what we may be going through. In addition, we must watch the words we say because our words feed our spirits (Ephesians 4:29). In Mark 9:23, Jesus said unto him “if thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth. Mark 9:23 tells us to believe and have faith in God, For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. “Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.” When you agree with what God says, then you will believe what you are saying because your thinking and thought process are now lining up with the Word of God. Then you will receive what you are saying! Saying what we believe from the Word of God produces great results. Spiritual things manifest into physical things. How do you believe with your heart? Agree with God and His Word! How do you agree with God? You say what God says, and when you say what God says, you will have what YOU say!
In time past we have said for many years that Christ is coming! Of course no one knows the day or hour (Matthew 24:36), but you can surely know the times. You can rest assure this generation will see the Return of Christ! The signs of times are here. He’s coming back soon! And now is the time to speak to awakening the people of the soon coming Messiah. Tell them to get their house in order! We must speak the truth of God’s Holy Word! We are living in the last days of man Ruler-ship here in the earth! Christ is soon to return and He is gathering the elect! Now is the time to speak! Now is the time to win the lost souls to the Kingdom! Don’t give-up now! We are too close to the Messiah coming! When Christ return and those that never repented and accepted Him to be Lord over their lives will not make it in. It will be too late! The bible tells us in the last days only a tenth or a remnant will make it in. (Zechariah 13:8; Isaiah 10:22; Romans 9:27)
The Signs of the Times and the End of the Age – Mark 13:3-13 (NKJV) 3 Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives opposite the temple, Peter, James, John, and Andrew asked Him privately, 4 “Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign when all these things will be fulfilled?” 5 And Jesus, answering them, began to say: “Take heed that no one deceives you. 6 For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am He,’ and will deceive many. 7 But when you hear of wars and rumors of wars, do not be troubled; for such things must happen, but the end is not yet.8 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be earthquakes in various places, and there will be famines and troubles.[a] These are the beginnings of sorrows. 9 “But watch out for yourselves, for they will deliver you up to councils, and you will be beaten in the synagogues. You will be brought[b] before rulers and kings for My sake, for a testimony to them. 10 And the gospel must first be preached to all the nations. 11 But when they arrest you and deliver you up, do not worry beforehand, or premeditate[c] what you will speak. But whatever is given you in that hour, speak that; for it is not you who speak, but the Holy Spirit. 12 Now brother will betray brother to death, and a father his child; and children will rise up against parents and cause them to be put to death. 13 And you will be hated by all for My name’s sake. But he who endures to the end shall be saved. No One Knows the Day or Hour – Mark 13:32- (NKJV)32 “But of that day and hour no one knows (but He didn’t say you couldn’t know the season), not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. 33 Take heed, watch and pray; for you do not know when the time is. 34 It is like a man going to a far country, who left his house and gave authority to his servants, and to each his work, and commanded the doorkeeper to watch. 35 Watch therefore, for you do not know when the master of the house is coming—in the evening, at midnight, at the crowing of the rooster, or in the morning— 36 lest, coming suddenly, he find you sleeping.
Street ministry is something I have done for years. It has been an enjoyable experience for me because I get a chance to meet people from all backgrounds of life. I’m always asking people “have you received Jesus as your Lord and Personal Savior. Many of them would say, “Well I go to church and I’ve been baptized.” That’s all good but going to church and being baptized alone does not qualify one for salvation. The person goes down as a dry sinner and come up as a wet sinner. If the individual never believed in their heart that God raised Jesus from the dead and confess Jesus Lord over their life according to Romans 10: 9 and 10, (there are other salvation scriptures as well) the individual is still not saved. I’m reminded of a situation that happened to me years ago. I visited this particular church because I knew something was missing in my life and me not knowing I needed a Savior at the time. At the end of the service the pastor asked the congregation to check with the person next to them to see if they were saved or have he or she received Jesus as their Lord and Savior, and if not extend the invitation for them to receive Him. This person who was in leadership position asked me was I saved. I said “I don’t know if I’m saved or not” I said “what do you mean saved”? Sad to say, the gentlemen couldn’t tell me what it meant neither could he lead me to Christ so I left the church lost and confused even the more. There are so many people today who feels the same way I felt years ago. They go to church on a regular basis; they been baptized, sing in the church choir, serve on the usher or deacon board, and etc., but they really don’t know what it means to be saved. The only thing I knew is that I joined the church to become a church member, paid church dues, received prayer, and join the church choir. Nothing wrong with all of that, but we can’t leave out the most important part of the message “Salvation” and there’s no healing and deliverance without Salvation. I was reading a story once where God showed this person in a dream (true vision) that “many people (people who went to church on a regular basis) believed they were saved and going to heaven. The Lord showed the person that some of them had never given their life to Christ. They were being deceived into thinking just because they went to church, sing a song, and listen to a pastor, they would be safe from that place called hell (eternal darkness). Some thought they were saved because they were good people or had given to the needy. In the dream / vision she stood in horror watching people slide off a dump truck into a big black hole. As they fell into the hole they screamed for help as burning and in agony and terror on each face. She turned the other way and looked up to see Jesus with His hand on the shoulder of a man. She somehow knew the man was a pastor. This pastor was very happy because Jesus was taking him into heaven. Just then Jesus turned him around so that the pastor could see the people (the lost souls in the black hole). The pastor’s smile then turn to tears when Jesus said, “these are the ones you didn’t tell the truth about Me when you had the opportunity.” The pastor received Jesus as Lord, but he never extended the invitation to the congregation (flocks). He preached a good shouting sermon but many of the flocks were still lost. They never believe and confess Jesus. Jesus came to seek and saved the lost. Do not assume that everyone in your congregation is saved. You might have visitors who came just for that purpose to give their life to the Lord, but the invitation was not extended. Can you imagine how that person might have felt when they left your church? They felt good for the moment, but as the hour passed the darkness is still there. I encourage you to open the doors of the church for Salvation. I come across too many people who have never confess Jesus as their Lord and personal savior, especially those that go to church on a regular basis.. They all have the same story. Jesus went to the cross that all would be saved and spend eternity with Him. Let’s not His work be in vain! We have been given the same mandate as John the Baptist as he baptize and won many souls to the Kingdom of God. The Harvest is right but the labors are few. My prayer is for God to send more labors into the harvesting field. God bless you. Tamike Brown

John 13: 3–5, 12–14 (NLT) 3 Jesus knew that the Father had given him authority over everything and that he had come from God and would return to God. 4 So he got up from the table, took off his robe, wrapped a towel around his waist, 5 and poured water into a basin. Then he began to wash the disciples’ feet, drying them with the towel he had around him. 12 After washing their feet, he put on his robe again and sat down and asked, “Do you understand what I was doing? 13 You call me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord,’ and you are right, because that’s what I am. 14 And since I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you ought to wash each other’s feet. 15 I have given you an example to follow. Do as I have done to you. Jesus came to this Earth to serve mankind and demonstrate how we should live a supernatural life. Even though He worked great miracles, raised the dead, healed the sick and set the captives free, He had no problem washing the feet of His disciples. And do you know what makes you excellent in God’s Kingdom? Is being a servant. Servanthood must be the distinguishing mark of every Believer. Jesus said in Mark 10:45 (NLT) that 45 For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others and to give his life as a ransom for many.” Jesus had no problem taking on a servant role. Jesus was totally committed to the things of God. He put His feelings aside to meet the needs of others. And our Heavenly Father requires us to serve Him in Excellent. The only way you can serve in excellent is that something in you is already excellent by nature and not by definition. And that’s the Holy Spirit. And as a born again believer, excellent is already in you. Psalms 150:2 Praise him for his mighty acts: praise him according to his excellent greatness. Everything God did was excellent. Serving God requires you to change your attitude; you have shift the focus from yourself to someone else. It challenges your flesh, but it develops your character. In other words, we have to become God-focused instead of self-focused. We have to be willing to serve God in excellent for the sake of furthering the Kingdom of God. It might be inconvenient for you at time, but be willing to be inconvenient to help someone else. Look for opportunities to help someone else. It’s all about advancing the Kingdom of God and Excellent is on the inside of you and God wants to use you. A servant has a great attitude, and serves the Lord with joy. A servant’s heart is revealed in the little things you do. People of excellence are true to the Word of God, and serve Him first and foremost by being obedient to His Word. When you cultivate a servant’s heart you position yourself for promotion and increase that only comes from God. Daniel 6:3 then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king thought to set him over the whole realm. Everything Daniel did was excellent. It was noticeable by others and those in leadership positions. He excel! He did his best! And because he had such an excellent spirit God promoted him above everybody else. Jesus, our greatest champion, Philippians 2:7 7But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: We should always be asking what we can do for others, rather than what others can do for us. The foundation of Christianity is love because God is love. When we learn to become servants, we build our character and cultivate the love of God in our hearts. God has always shown His love to us through serving us. His excellent act of servanthood was sending Jesus to die for our sins John 3:16 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. This great act of serving mankind is why we, in turn, should serve Him and others. God will not force you to serve Him; the choice is yours. But you have to present yourself instead of waiting for someone to ask you to serve, or for a miraculous sign to show up. If your heart is not willing to serve Him, ask Him to help you in this area. And ask yourself, “Am I living to please God or myself? It’s all about serving Him, the Almighty One. He will never forget what you have done to serve Him and others. By making a quality decision to walk in His love, and put His agenda before your own, you will be an authentic demonstration of the character of Jesus, and reap rewards here on Earth and in Heaven. Selfishness is the mindset that says, “Me first.” But servanthood says, “You first.” Be a servant for the Kingdom of God!
