The “heart” of man is the spirit of man. Therefore we trust God with the heart (Proverbs 3:5-7). Peter calls it the hidden man of the heart (1 Peter 3:4).  The Word of God is still true today just as it was when Jesus walked the earth. The Word was made flesh. When you agree with the Word of God you can be healed by the Word, you can be saved by the Word, you can have peace by the Word, and you can have joy by the Word. Don’t believe according to your head or the five senses.  Believe with the spirit man of your heart. Amos 3:3 asked the question, can two walk together except they be agreed? Often time when we hear or read this scripture the first thought that come to mind is that we think about people who are married.  That is true in itself, but it’s not talking about married couples alone. The scripture also applies to other things such as family members, friends, business partners, and etc.  Have you ever thought about that scripture as it relates to your relationship with the Lord? I hear people say all the time I believe God! I believe God! In order to truly believe God in your heart (the spirit man) we must agree with what He says.  We have to agree with His Word.  God and His Word are true!  It can be very difficult to be in agreement with someone if you’re not sure what each other are thinking.  We have to read God’s Word daily in order to know how God is thinking in order to agree with Him. Once you start reading and studying God’s Word on a daily basis you’ll begin to align your thoughts with God’s thoughts. This put you in a position to believe Him. And when you believe what God says, it is so!  Your prayers will be answered because you believe! We make contact with God with our spirit not the human mind or our five senses. God is a spirit; therefore those who worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth (John 4:24). We must trust the Lord with our spirit not the understanding of our natural minds (Proverbs 3:5-7). We have peace within when we believe (agree with God), trust in, and rely solely on God (Hebrews 4:3; Philippians 4:7). The physical body is designed to believe the senses. However, the spirit is designed to believe the Word of God. God and His Word are one. When we believe His Word we agree and believe Him.  Therefore, believing with our spirit is believing beyond what the senses detect.  We must decide to believe God (with our spirit) every day regardless of what we may be going through.  In addition, we must watch the words we say because our words feed our spirits (Ephesians 4:29). In Mark 9:23, Jesus said unto him “if thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth. Mark 9:23  tells us to believe and have faith in God, For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. “Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.” When you agree with what God says, then you will believe what you are saying because your thinking and thought process are now lining up with the Word of God. Then you will receive what you are saying! Saying what we believe from the Word of God produces great results. Spiritual things manifest into physical things. How do you believe with your heart? Agree with God and His Word! How do you agree with God? You say what God says, and when you say what God says, you will have what YOU say!
